You have very nice ROI for 5$ STG whenever you have more then 20%+ you can move up to the higher limit.
Just make sure to move down if the things aren't working at higher level.

I will be writing a strategy posts at http://www.rakebackinn.com - there is a poker strategy blog and you can learn a ton about poker strategy for free.

"Maybe the best thing about this tournament was that I was finally able to say <I> on a bluff."

Yeah, that made this post for me. Pretty solid all around, but this just sums it up nicely. Kudos on your FT win :-) Maybe it will be for real next time, who knows :->

Nice observation BigT, I agree that the difference in rake between HU vs. FR is very noticable. I think the big difference is that I'm not playing as many hands in a FR game compared to a HU cash game.

One of the guys I played lamented that after some 400 hands of rake he couldn't even make back his initial investment: there simply wasn't enough money left on the table.

I know the rake is certainly noticable heads-up, but I'm not sure that it is any higher than a full-ring. It's just that you play so much more often that you see the effect clearer.

But seriously.

The current one zero to a thousand was very tough. I stopped doing the 0 to $1k challenge because it was suck a grind. It's tough to be mentally and physically ready to play all those freerolls and stuff. I only did it because at the time it was hard to put money into online poker sites. By my estimation, I went from $0 to about $250 or so and it took over a year nickel and diming my way to a bigger bankroll. As I said I posted before I started playing the Pokerstars 2 billionith celebration and I won about $1.80 playing those and from there it took off. I played .25 MTTs mostly and built my BR to about $10. Then I started playing micro cash games .02/.05 blinds. I played super tight and built my BR very slowly. I was still playing MTTs and I gradually upped my buy in amount from .25 to .50 then to $1.10. I then got I registered at Fulltilt through a rakeback deal and plopped in $200 and started playing 25NL and it took off from there. I wish you luck on your quest wheeny, I hope you do it!
